Known as a flaneur the autodidact is also an important chronicler of the daily Berlin
life in the 1920s and 30s.
Animals in the zoo, housewives chatting, playing children or even homeless persons
were in the center of his photos.
Young women in, for that time very short skirts, who represented the 'new woman' which were
self-cofnfident, dynamic and independent were especially in his focus.
And if the skirt of a young lady jumping over a puddle might have lifted a little bit -
